Findlay Ohio Senior Portraits
Say hello to Mikayla, another fab St. Wendelin High School grad! When Mikayla, her mom Hollie and I met for her consultation, we honed in Findlay as our target location, as this is the home of Mikayla’s college of choice, The University of Findlay. As a long-time Findlay Ohio senior photographer, I’ve shot on campus a number of times and am always happy for the opportunity to revisit it. It is a beautiful campus, and offers a variety of backdrops for a portrait session.
Capturing Interests in Your Senior Portraits
In addition to the U of F campus, Mikayla wanted to capture her love of softball in her senior portraits set. When the day of her session arrived, we opted to start things off on St. Wendelin’s ball field. Here we captured a number of images in both her St. Wendelin jersey, and a University of Findlay t-shirt, as Mikayla would be playing ball for the U of F softball team!
Senior Pictures on Campus
Once we wrapped up the softball set, we packed up and headed toward Findlay and the U of F campus. Mikayla’s first outfit choice consisted of a black dress, black boots and some fun, chunky jewelry to complement the look!
We had some surprisingly bright sun the afternoon of her session, which made for some incredibly back light! Mikayla’s bright blue pea coat and colorful scarf really stand out here.
Another quick change into a black t-shirt and fun patterned skirt yielded this gorgeously lit set.
One last change before we left the campus found Mikayla in a sleek black leather jacket and some killer heels.
Natural Light Outdoor Senior Pictures
As the sun was starting its descent, we moved on to Findlay’s Riverbend Park for a more natural setting. Mikayla’s burgundy top and striped sweater were a perfect choice on this warm autumn day.
For the next set, we opted to shoot in direct light for variety. I love the punch of Mikayla’s blue button down shirt in the green surroundings.
A fresh scarf and a few steps away toward the bridge for a few more shots before we relocated for the final set.
Rich Autumn Sunset Senior Portraits
This set has such a rich depth of color and I just love the light and shadow play as the sun sank behind the trees. What a perfect ending to a wonderful session!
Many thanks to Mikayla and Hollie for a wonderful experience! I had so much fun working with you both! Mikayla, best of luck as you begin your college career!
