Meet BLP Team EIGHTEEN!
This endeavor is something that has been on my heart for some time, and I’m so excited to take this first step. Participation in the BLP Seniors Team is all about embracing the beauty within. If you look closely at the Team t-shirts my girls are wearing, you will see the motto I’ve adopted. “Be your own kind of beautiful!” What that really means is that you are perfect just the way you are.
I’ve been shooting senior portraits for over six years now, and over time I saw a need for validation beyond the physical. Looking and feeling beautiful in your senior portraits is important. But that all starts with BELIEVING that you are a perfect creation, unique and wonderful in your own way. Your TRUE beauty radiates from within. And so the BLP Seniors Team was born!
I was so fortunate to have such a wonderful group of girls apply to be a part of my first-ever senior model team! You will be seeing a lot of these girls in the next year, so I would like to take a moment to introduce them!
Emma | Leipsic High School Class of 2018
Emma describes herself as an outgoing, friendly person, and after our first Team EIGHTEEN session together, I’d have to agree! I can already tell this blue-eyed beauty is going to be a lot of fun to work with. This girl has goals in life and is already a go-getter, running cross country and track, participating in school science and Spanish clubs, FBLA, yearbook and journalism. And if that wasn’t enough, she is an active Eucharistic minister at her church, participates in it’s Youth Group, and is a volunteer with Challenged Champions.
On wanting to be a part of Team EIGHTEEN, Emma says “I would like to be a part of the BLP Team because I enjoy meeting new people. I would be honored to have the experience of having my senior pictures taken by a photographer who has really caught my eye. Working on my school’s yearbook team, I see a lot of senior pictures, and feel that your work is the best choice to really show who I am.”
Emma, I am so happy to welcome you to the team!
Alyssa | Arcadia High School Class of 2018
Family and friends are a high priority to this stunning girl. Alyssa describes herself as friendly, and a little bit sassy. She loves makeup, video games, vintage styles (YAY!!) and classic cars (I see a session theme coming together here!), and is extremely musical. Alyssa plays tenor saxophone and clarinet in her high school band, and sings soprano in choir. Already studying cosmetology, Alyssa hope to own her own salon one day.
When asked why she wants to be a part of the team, Alyssa says “I think being a part of BLP Team EIGHTEEN would be a fun experience! I love meeting new people and am open to trying new things!”
Alyssa, I’m beyond excited to have you as a member of Team EIGHTEEN this year!!
Jena | Hopewell-Loudon High School Class of 2018
This charming blondie calls herself the class clown and her friends say there’s never a dull moment with her around! Jena loves people and especially loves her job working with senior citizens in a nursing home. So much, in fact, that she co-founded a chapter of Glamour Gals, an organization that goes to local nursing homes to paint senior ladies’ nails and provide them much-needed company. In addition to this, Jena is on the Student Council, is a member of SADD, Captain of her school’s golf team, is involved in HOBY, National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa NHS at Terra Community College, QuizBowl, CARTEENS, 4-H, and the Junior Prom Committee. WHEW! I’m tired just reading that!!! This sunny girl also loves singing, dancing, acting and modeling… a perfect fit to join us on Team EIGHTEEN!!
Jena says “I love the idea of modeling and representing an awesome photographer. I have my own ideas for my senior portraits, and when I saw your work, I feel like you are the best photographer to help me achieve my perfect senior pictures! I would love to represent BLP and everything Team EIGHTEEN stands for!”
Jena, I’m so incredibly happy to have you on the Team this year!
Savannah | Cory-Rawson High School Class of 2018
This natural beauty describes herself as a very social person who loves meeting new people. Savannah is drop-dead gorgeous without an ounce of makeup (I know, right???) and I love her warmth and confidence. Savannah jumped right in to help man the reflector on our first Team EIGHTEEN shoot, and I can tell she is going to be wonderful to work with this year. This very active girl is a 3-sport athlete and a member of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), which requires a total of 100 hours of community services throughout the year. Dedication, people!!! Oodles of it! Savannah was also the Junior class Homecoming attendant last fall!
On applying to join the team, Savannah says “Being involved in the BLP Team would make my senior year all the more memorable and enjoyable! I would like to meet many new people and make lifelong friends before I head off to college.”
Savannah, I am so very happy to welcome you to Team EIGHTEEN!
Ladies, it’s shaping up to be an amazing year! I am so looking forward to our adventures together, documenting your senior year as we go!
