One of the things I’ve enjoyed most about group shoots with my BLP Seniors Team EIGHTEEN girls is the opportunity we’ve had to push boundaries a bit. With winter upon us and a more stark landscape at hand, it seemed like good timing to do something a little edgier in an urban environment. After some consideration, Alyssa, Jena and I decided to make the drive to downtown Toledo for this set. I asked them to choose the direction of their styling themselves, and these ladies did not disappoint! Jena went for a rocker vibe with the help of my hair stylist, Hannah Chudzinski, and some of Jena’s signature hair coloring and makeup skills. Alyssa, on the other hand, went with a more subtle rockabilly style. As a cosmetology student, she did an amazing job with her own hair and makeup.
EDGY SENIOR PICTURES IN DOWNTOWN TOLEDO
Our session date was on the cold side, but sunny, and as the sun began to drop between buildings, we scored some amazing light to add drama to our sets. I don’t shoot in this area often, but I have to tell you, I’m always blown away by the images captured here. And the cool thing is that there are opportunities everywhere if you know how to look for them. There are so many really unique corners to shoot against! All in all, this session was a huge highlight of the season for me. Have a look and see if you don’t agree!
THANK YOU Alyssa, Jena and Jena’s mom Jessica for an incredible afternoon! And another big shout out to Hannah for Jena’s uber cool hair styling! I love it when a plan comes together! Your senior year is flying by and our time together is growing short, but I’m so happy with all we’ve achieved together! I’m looking forward to finishing out our Team EIGHTEEN year with more fun adventures like this one.
